Organizing Your CRE Surveys with Building Groups in ScoutSpace
When managing commercial real estate surveys, customization is key. With ScoutSpace’s Building Groups, you can categorize and differentiate properties to provide your clients with the precise data they need. This feature allows you to structure your surveys efficiently, enhancing clarity and decision-making.
Setting Up Building Groups
- Access Building Groups – Open the Building Groups option under the More Menu.
- Create a Group – Type the name of your new Building Group in the custom field.
- Customize with Colors – Click on Color to open the color picker. You can:
- Select a color manually
- Enter an RGB, HSL, or HEX code to align with brand standards
- Choose from Recent Colors to match previously used selections
- Save Your Group – Click Create once you've finalized your selections. Continue adding as many Building Groups as needed.
Editing and Managing Building Groups
- Edit a Group – Change a group’s name or color, then click Update.
- Delete a Group – Click Delete next to the respective group.
- Exit the Pop-up – Click anywhere outside the pop-up window to close it.
Assigning Buildings to Groups
- Navigate to a building and find the black banner labeled “No Group Assigned”.
- Click the Edit button.
- Select a Building Group from the dropdown menu.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for all buildings you want to categorize.
- To Bulk assign group, navigate to Bulk Edit and assign each building to a group.
Organizing Buildings on the Virtual Map
To reorder buildings based on their assigned groups:
- Navigate to the Virtual Map View.
- Click the Reorder Buildings dropdown menu.
- Select Group, and the buildings will be listed accordingly.
